Coming Home to Ourselves

Wednesday February 28, 2024 - Sunday March 3, 2024
Dhamma Dena Meditation Center

with Jokai Blackwell, Mary Stancavage, and Ian Challis
assisted by Valerie Cusson

You are warmly invited to a 4-night retreat at Dhamma Dena Meditation Center, set within the grandeur and serenity of the Mojave Desert. Supported by Insight Community of the Desert’s guiding teachers, we will follow a time-honored schedule of meditation, dharma talks, delicious vegetarian meals, and time for rest, all held in a container of silence.

An in-person, multi-day retreat is a rare and invaluable opportunity to reconnect with our Sangha and deepen our vital connections. Coming together to practice, we will cultivate the energy and support that allows the body-mind to find refuge in the kind embrace of Buddhist teachings. Please join us in coming home to what is truly important, in the company of friends, for the benefit of all.

Registration:

This retreat is being offered on a sliding scale basis. Please donate at the highest level you can afford. The higher cost options support those unable to afford the suggested amount, in addition to providing our hosts with a reasonable donation to cover their costs. For those with limited financial resources, please select “Other” when registering and input the commensurate amount. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

Your registration covers simple, rustic accommodations for four nights, as well as three healthy, vegetarian meals each day. There will be an opportunity to support the teachings through the heart practice of dana (generosity).

This retreat is organized by Insight Community of the Desert. Click HERE to register.
